The Difference in Mesh Sizes

The Difference in Mesh Sizes

When deciding what mesh size to choose there are many variables that should be considered. Ink viscosity, type of ink, amount of detail on the screen are just a few!

24-90 Mesh: Most commonly used for very thick specialty ink, such as glitter, puff, etc.

110-130 Mesh: Most commonly used for thick inks (like white plastisol) and low detail.

160-180 Mesh: Most commonly used for think inks (like black plastisol) and medium detail.

200-280 Mesh: Most commonly used for thin inks and high detail. Good for solvent and water based inks.

305 Mesh: Most commonly used for thin inks and super fine detail, half tones, and CMYK process prints.
